BVI Rugby Team to play George Washington University Team

The BVI Rugby Football Union will hopefully continue its winning streak next week, when the local team plays a round of matches against the visiting George Washington University Men’s Rugby Club.
The George Washington team also comes to the British Virgin Islands fresh from tough tests playing in Division II of USA Rugby. Nineteen of GW Men’s Rugby Club will arrive here March 10th to play two exhibition games against the BVI National Team.
The first of two exciting matches between BVI Rugby and GWU will take place on Monday, 12th March at 5:30pm at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds. The second match is scheduled for Friday, 16 March, same time and venue.
Lots of fun activities are also being planned for the George Washington University Men’s Rugby Club, whose visit coincides with St. Patrick’s Day on 17th March. The rugby teams, and rugby lovers will meet up at Captain Mulligan’s for After Parties and breakfast.

The BVI Rugby Football Union trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5.30pm-7.00 pm at the A. O. Shirley Grounds and new male players aged 16 and over are invited.
